This residential client in Windhoek already had a solar PV system installed and was generating sufficient energy during the day. However, like many homeowners in Namibia, they faced a common challenge: managing the heavy evening load.
Despite producing excess solar energy during daylight hours, the client still relied heavily on the grid after sunset. To maximize their existing solar investment and achieve energy independence, Densys upgraded the installation with a high-performance 25 kWh Sungrow battery storage system.
Now, the surplus power generated during the day is stored efficiently, cutting grid reliance during peak evening hours and protecting the household from local power outages.
Scope of Work:
- Supply and installation of the 25 kWh Sungrow battery backup.
- Integration with the existing solar inverter setup.
- Programming energy management modes for peak shaving.
- System testing and handover.
The Result: The homeowner has cut their evening grid reliance. Plus, a 25 kWh capacity ensures the house stays online during local power disruptions or load shedding.
